Hotel Restaurant Perschler

Such a lovely welcome, and they even helped me print something at the last minute. Great host and breakfast. I can definitely recommend it.

I came back to Austria for the Motor GP and had a really unpleasant restaurant experience. We asked about vegetarian food, and the waiter checked with the chef. The only option, we were told, was a salad with vegetable patties. Our food had a hair in it and also meat, and it had no seasoning at all. The waiter also got an order wrong at the next table. When the manager came over, she argued instead of saying they were sorry. We tried to talk to the server about the food and waited for a while to speak with the manager, but nobody came. After seeing how poorly bad reviews are generally handled here, I wonder if some people avoid direct confrontation. The restaurant could work on improving things instead of discrediting people who raise concerns. I really don't recommend it.

The hotel and breakfast were great. Depending on when you're there, though, having no air conditioning can be a real downside.

We were left waiting 45 minutes after our food had been served, and when we raised it, the waitress talked back. She complained that the restaurant was busy and used that to explain why nobody had attended to us. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to cope with the extra bookings on a busy GP night. For a four-star hotel, I was appalled by how we were treated as paying guests. When we gave feedback, there was no sign of regret, just more excuses. Either accept fewer guests and keep service at an acceptable level, or bring in extra staff. This was by far the worst restaurant experience of our lives.
