DOMS Gästehaus

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and everything was exceptionally clean. There were plenty of towels, the location is convenient, and the room had AC, a TV, and the other essentials. I didn't see any slippers, though I also didn't ask about them. The owner's conduct was the reason for my low rating. When I asked about breakfast at 9:30 am, which was within the stated hours until 10, he assumed we'd already left and wouldn't be coming back. The resulting exchange felt needlessly tense. We were new to the place, hadn't been told much about how things worked, and were expected to know the process. Simple questions got an elevated, agitated response, followed by very direct, mean accusations and no goodbye. There were plenty of ways to handle the misunderstanding professionally and politely. Maybe we caught him on a particularly bad day, but treating customers this way is unacceptable. He said I should write a bad review because that's all I do, though he was the first person to prompt one and I hope the last. He added that he didn't care because he was the owner, then left. I've never felt the need to post a negative review before, but this behavior was shocking and unprofessional, and doesn't match the otherwise positive atmosphere or quality of the accommodation. Arrogance has no place in hospitality, or in how people treat one another. I hope he takes this feedback seriously and improves his communication, or employs someone able to handle these situations. I don't recommend this place to people from Vienna or international visitors.
