The team and owners are very friendly and keen to help, and the wine is very good. You can help yourself to it, too. The place has a lovely, strong family feel. It should be nice and quiet given the location, but the road is surprisingly busy for its size, and weekday morning noise was a real letdown. Maybe it’s best for a night or two as a weekend escape.

Sebastian was professional from the warm welcome through the outstanding hospitality and service. He also helped us with ideas for routes, restaurants, and more. The breakfast was amazing, and the location is perfect for the Wachau area. Great, unique place with luxury rooms. Highly recommended.

There’s lots to see and do around here, from Göttweig Abbey to exploring Krems, Melk, and the Wachau. The hotel hosts were full of information and helpful with travel tips and restaurant suggestions. I’d definitely recommend the Malat wine tour to learn about the winery, the region, and more. We had an amazing weekend at Malat hotel. The Malat family were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. My favorite part was relaxing in the cosy “central room,” where you can have a glass of wine, listen to music, and just chill. The record player is a nice touch.
