The ski conditions around Ischgl were very good, with plenty of pistes to choose from. There are 3 gondolas from Ischgl and one from Switzerland, so keep an eye on mobile data roaming if you ski across Austria and Switzerland. Galtur/Wirl is just 2 stops away, only a few minutes by the free ski bus, which stops right outside the hotel. There’s a marker there too, and the stop is named after the hotel. Ischgl’s main cable car takes about 15 minutes to reach. The food was very good, with a choice of dishes including one traditional tiroler cousine option. Meal times work well for skiers who want to catch the first lift, and there are snacks available if you get back before supper. The best part was the honest, helpful service from Ernest & Heidi and the other staff. They did their best to accommodate every request with a smile, and nothing seemed impossible. It felt sincere rather than like the kind of service you get in luxury hotels. Definitely 6/5 stars. This was one of the best surprises we’ve had when choosing a hotel for a winter ski/snowboard holiday. If you’re wondering whether the hotel and Ischgl are worth it, they are.

The warm welcome was what stayed with me most. The host was genuinely kind and attentive, and made me feel like more than someone passing through. My room was cozy and well kept, with a big TV, plenty of wardrobe space, a clean bathroom, and a firm, comfortable bed. I only needed one night this time, but I'd happily come back for longer.

We had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel. The hosts were so welcoming and took great care of us, and the food was very good. It's in a fantastic location, too.

The sauna was a great way to relax after a day on the slopes, and the food was terrific. It's also just a short, convenient bus ride from Ischgl. A great hotel with lovely staff!
