Haus am Rain

We felt very comfortable here, and the hostess was lovely. The area is great for hiking. For anyone sporty, Europatreppe 4000 (European Staircase 4000) is practically across the street, with 3605 steps and 700 meters of elevation gain. If we take another vacation in the area, we’ll definitely stay in this house again.

The breakfast was plentiful, and the hostess was really attentive. Great house in a fantastic location. We’d love to come back!

It’s such a quiet spot, with beautiful views of the mountains and stars at night. The ski bus stops literally outside the front door. It took just under 25 minutes to reach the Grasjochbahn lift, or you can take the first lift and get to the Versettla lift in 5 minutes. Clean, comfortable, modern, and well cared for. Highly recommended. We stayed in the "Domizil" room, which has a small kitchen and even an oven. There’s no dining table or sofa, just a counter and two armchairs. I’d have preferred a small sofa, but that’s personal taste. The bathroom is modern. I stubbed my toe on the cabinet under the sink twice, and the faucet is so long I got things wet a few times 😂 Still, everything is beautifully furnished and maintained. The double bed had two separate mattresses and blankets. I prefer one large mattress, and if you want to cuddle, one person ends up sleeping in the gap 😜 The fireplace looked lovely and made the room feel warm and inviting. It circulates warm air, so there’s no heater in the room. The house has a family-run feel, with everything lovingly furnished and a warm welcome. Downstairs there’s a large underground garage and a ski room with boot warmers. You can leave your front door key inside and take just a card to the slopes. The doors to the downstairs rooms also open with the card, which is a very modern setup. Breakfast wasn’t huge, but had all we needed: fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, raw vegetables, muesli, yogurt, and orange juice. Eggs were available on request, but we only found out on our last day. The breakfast was mentioned twice in my notes, but it was good both times! Greetings to Mrs. Schneeweiß: We got home on New Year’s Eve in just 6 hours instead of 8. The roads were completely clear, so we could start celebrating with our cats and neighbors as early as 5 p.m.

The bus stop is right outside, and guests have a garage. It’s a cozy, very nice house in a quiet location, with a really friendly hostess.
