We spent a week skiing at Active Hotel at the beginning of March 2025. The gondola’s lower station is right next door, just a few steps away. The ski bus stops opposite the hotel, so with one ski pass we could easily reach other resorts in the Gastein Valley, including Bad Gastein, Bad Hoffgastein, and Sport Gastein.

At checkout, they charged me for services I hadn’t received. I didn’t have time to argue because my train wouldn’t wait, which was really unpleasant. I also only found out then that some items on the bill had to be paid in cash, which I find completely unacceptable. Luckily, I had cash with me. I do wonder if this is how they avoid paying taxes.
