Appartement Kaiser-Franz

The staff were so friendly.

I had paid for this reservation a week ahead, and it was confirmed for a 5:00 PM arrival. At 4:00 PM on the day, while I was already travelling there, the landlord cancelled it due to overbooking. There was no apology or phone call. If I hadn't checked my email during a break, I would only have learned at reception that I had nowhere to stay. Edit: I've updated this after getting a reply because the property owner's account is untrue. I'm including the email from Booking, which clearly says the property owner cancelled my booking. I advise caution.

The landlord quickly sorted out the missing cutlery and plates, and the heaters blaring in two bedrooms. The apartment was as expected: not the newest, but perfectly fine, spacious and right in the city center. There was a good parking spot for the car, too. If the clutter in the garage doesn't bother you, as it evidently does some people in other reviews, it's a great place.

Apartment 4 wasn't as clean as we're used to. The floor was dirty, especially in the corners and behind the curtains, and an unpleasant smell lingered in both the stairwell and bathroom throughout our stay. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, with fresh sheets and clean towels. It's a nice place in a very central location, but I personally wouldn't book it again.
