We enjoyed the area, with lots of cycling and hiking opportunities nearby. There's also outdoor grilling and seating, bike storage in the garage, and parking in front of the house. The owners were nice and helpful. The accommodation was okay: rooms, bathroom, and toilet were fine, and our 2nd floor apartment had a terrace with a lovely daily view of the surrounding hills. We stayed for 14 days in summer. The kitchen was small and could use larger, better equipment. What surprised us, and what we hadn't encountered before in AT, was that for 5 people over 14 days there were just 3 dishwasher tablets and 4 pieces of toilet paper. That wasn't nearly enough, and the website hadn't mentioned it when we booked, so we had to buy supplies on site. Still, we were satisfied.

The bakery, supermarket, and restaurants are all close by, and the apartment is very conveniently located. It had everything we needed. The landlords were lovely and helpful, and gave us some great tips. We felt very comfortable and look forward to seeing you again. Thanks for everything.

The annual Dorffest and summer music events bring plenty of life to Dorfgastein, a small mountain village in the Gastein region. There’s also the much-loved Brauchtums Abend, with the Schuhplattler. Our stay was just as welcoming: Christina and Kurt Schernthaner looked after us so well, and the apartments were very comfortable.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the slopes were about a 10-minute walk away. Great location.
