The imperial décor is an unusual touch for a mountain hotel. I also liked the shop right inside, the wellness center, and my very comfortable room. The hotel sits high on a hill, with beautiful views.

We started the day with a beautiful sunrise and a panoramic walk in the fresh mountain air. The location looks out across the valley, with a great view of the mountains. One of the best spots in all of Bad Gastein.

We arrived late in the evening, and the staff kindly opened the hotel shop so we could buy a few basic food items. They were friendly and efficient throughout, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic, with an excellent view. We’ll come back.

The mountain air and surroundings were lovely, with plenty of beautiful places to visit and routes for short or long walks. We also enjoyed the skiing and snowboarding at Stubnerkogel, Sportalm and Alpendorf. At the hotel, there’s a pool and sauna, apartments with good equipment, and most have balconies. Our place was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Having a shop and bakery, a restaurant with live music, and garage parking right there made everything feel well thought through. It’s suited to families, too. Love it.
