Residenz Boutique Suites

We spent a week here in March while skiing with my wife and daughter. The hotel was modern, very clean, and well located, and all the staff were super friendly. Just know that breakfast is only offered in a box. There is a nice bakery nearby.

Gregor greeted us and helped with our parking and bags, then stayed on hand throughout the visit. The staff were sweet and professional, and the service was genuinely out of the ordinary. The rooms are lovely, with modern facilities and recent renovations. Being in central Bad Gastein and close to the ski lift makes the location hard to beat. Nothing but good things to say about Residenz. My warmest recommendation.

Gregor, the manager, was amazing. He gave us great recommendations and was extremely helpful, though we only found out he was there after another staff member mentioned him. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the front desk setup needs fixing. Check-in was a mess. Since the bar also serves as reception, we had to wait for people to pay for their drinks. We had to park in the street and ended up holding up a bus. The woman at the desk was rude, offered no help, and couldn't give us recommendations when we asked.

Having a kitchen in the room made a big difference for a longer stay, and Residenz Boutique Suites was one of the only Bad Gastein hotels I could find with one. The room was quiet, warm, very clean, and incredibly well equipped. Tea and coffee were provided, along with a countertop coffee machine. Housekeeping can come daily if you want, and they did a great job. The heating worked well and the showers were so good. The cafe and bar downstairs are lovely, with every kind of drink and GREAT music. I recommend the espresso tonic. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to chat at the bar. Gregor, the hotel manager, picked us up from the station after the last bus of the night, which was such a nice welcome. Another staff member, whose name I didn't get, remembered our drink order from the first day and started making it whenever we came in. I love little details like that. Check-in was quick and easy, too. You can walk into town in 10min, and the bus to the station and main ski slopes is 5mins away. Graukogel is a 10min walk, where you can take a chair lift straight up and start skiing. The views are amazing. This was my first ski trip, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel. Every detail felt right and all the staff were wonderful. I really hope I can come back one day. Thanks for a great stay!
