Haus Friedrichsburg

The staff were really friendly, and the stay left me relaxed and able to enjoy my holiday. The hotel was very clean, and breakfast had lots of vegan choices. They even brought us vegan yoghurt and made fresh, hot vegan pancakes. I’ve never been looked after so well in Austria.

Breakfast was fantastic, with fresh regional products carefully prepared by the chef each day, including organic eggs made to order. The free parking is handy, too. This family-run hotel is a gem, right in the center of Bad Hofgastein. The well-appointed rooms are lovely, most with balconies and sweeping views.

The owners and staff were so warm and friendly, and breakfast was amazing, with fresh homemade bread and other food they’d made or cooked themselves. If you love good food, this is the place. The rooms are cozy and nicely equipped, even with things like a hairdryer and liquid soap. We had a pretty big, sunny balcony with a calming view of the mountain range. Shops, bars, and everything else in the village center are within a five-minute walk. A really great stay, highly recommend!

The service was friendly, the rooms spacious, and breakfast both delicious and healthy. They also included little conveniences in the price, such as a gondola ticket and a public transport pass for the stay, at least during my visit. It’s a great vacation base in Gasteinertal, very central and close to lots of restaurants, especially the Alpentherme ;)
