Landhotel Hauserbauer

The rooms are nice and big, and the restaurant and bar feel cosy. The meals were good too. In winter, you can ski back to the hotel when the weather allows, and there’s a free ski bus to and from the slopes.

Great food, served quickly by friendly staff, and a stunning view over the Gastein Valley.

The staff were incredibly kind to our little daughter, even when she needed extra attention, and the food was just as good as the rest of our winter holiday at Berghotel Hauserbauer. The buffet might have a few more vegan options sometimes, but that’s understandable in the mountains. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished, and the gym, pool, and spa were world-class. We’ll definitely be back.

We loved the quiet, idyllic setting, with the area's highlights still about 20 minutes away by car on average. The service was attentive and friendly, and the family atmosphere and peaceful meals without background music made everything feel relaxed. Food was excellent, every dish worked for us. We stayed at Berghotel Hauserbauer for our honeymoon and would book again. The Alpenturm Suite was rustic, romantic, and beautifully decorated, with a honeymoon surprise waiting for us. It had a fantastic view of the valley and mountains, two balconies, and the larger one was on the quieter side of the hotel. The separate toilet was a plus. The shower water did sometimes switch suddenly between hot and cold. The hotel and spa were well kept and clean, as was the rest of the room. Our toilet could have been cleaned a little better before we arrived, especially the wall tiles. We’d recommend the hotel. 4.5 stars from us. 👍🏻
