So many rooms and beds, a fantastic place to stay.

Really great!

Apartment number 8, on the right at the top, was roomier than we expected. Coming in, there’s a hallway, a bedroom with its own bathroom, a separate toilet, another roomy bathroom, two large bedrooms that sleep two or three people each, plus a big kitchen and living room. The balcony is wide with lots of seating, though there isn’t space for a table. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was friendly, and arrival went smoothly. There’s private parking, and plenty of walks start nearby. Being on the Gerlos Pass also makes Koningsleiten and Zell am Zillertal easy to reach. The big downside was the very slow internet. With nine devices, even Instagram could take ages to load. We looked into it with the owner, but the issue seemed to be in the apartment and couldn’t be fixed. The 4G signal is weak here too. Apart from the Wi-Fi, I’d recommend the apartment.

We stayed on the ground floor, where the kitchen opens straight onto a garden or meadow. That worked well for our dog and for us, and there are chairs and a table outside. There are two sockets beneath the table, handy for an electric grill or bar equipment. The room was clean and tidy, and the kitchen was very good, with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. Sleeping was fine, there are two toilets and a bathroom with a shower. There’s a TV in the room with the sofa, though the kitchen might be a better spot for it as there’s more room there. One other little gripe, maybe it’s a local thing, but where are all the wall clocks? :-) The guesthouse has a small private parking lot and sits by the main road, but that didn’t bother us at all. The landlady was nice, though she doesn’t speak English.
