The five-minute walk to the gondola, piste, and ski rental makes this a great base for exploring the Zillertal Arena, while the main bars and clubs are a fifteen-minute walk away. It’s a decent mid-range hotel for winter sports, with spacious rooms, though the bathroom setup gives little privacy if you’re sharing with friends. Cleaning could be more detailed, but the place wasn’t dirty. The layout is maze-like, as if the hotel has been expanded over time, which kids may enjoy for hide-and-seek. Depending on your cultural background, you might find the staff amusingly direct or close to rude. The menu’s quality varies, and they’re surprisingly not that good at the local cuisine. The salad and breakfast buffets are okay. Amenities are complete, though a bit dated.

The staff were awesome and so helpful, always welcoming us with big smiles. We had a themed suite with stunning views, and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The wellness area, including an indoor pool, is small but comfortable, nice, and clean. The outdoor sauna is stunning! Hope we can come back someday ☺️

We love coming back, and it’s always a fantastic holiday. The rooms are clean and lovely, and the food is delicious and regional. You can really feel that the hotel is run by a family. The ski lifts are an easy walk away, and in winter there’s also a ski bus to the hotel. Keep up the good work, dear Grubacher team!

The team really goes out of its way to make sure guests have what they need, and we had a perfect time. The sauna and pool were a lovely way to round things off. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the Isskogelbahn, and from our balcony we could see the valley run. Breakfast had everything we wanted, the dinners were fantastic, and the staff were friendly and incredibly attentive. For our first four-day ski trip at the Grubacher, the value for money was unbeatable.
