Villa Michaela

For hiking or biking around Gerlos, this is a great place to stay. The owner is keen on both and knows good trails and places to stop for food. Tell him what kind of route you’re after and he’ll suggest a couple of options. The accommodation is excellent and the owners are really friendly. We’d come back, and can see why this place makes you want to return.

Villa Michaela sits just outside Gerlos center, with a free shuttle stop about a three-minute walk away. In the evening, a taxi is handy; for a group it costs around €20. Martin and Michaela gave us exceptionally good service, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely recommend staying here.

The room had a private balcony overlooking the river and mountains, and breakfast had a good selection. It was great value, too. Michael and Martin looked after me with so much care, gave fantastic recommendations, and were friendly and helpful throughout. I felt at home in a comfortable, unforgettable stay, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Thank you so much 🙏

The location worked perfectly for us: it’s a five-minute bus ride to Gerlos center and the ski lifts, and the night bus runs until midnight. Michaela and Martin welcomed us right away and made sure we had all the information we needed. We slept like babies in the great room. Breakfast was fantastic, with different kinds of eggs to choose from, and we could chat about our mountain adventures while eating. Thank you very much, Max & Jesse.
