The rooms felt warm and cozy, and there’s a small spa area with a sauna. Add the good food and lovely views, and it makes a great place for a few days away in winter.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the location was great. Dinner took a little while to arrive, but it tasted good.

The food was very good quality, with a good menu, and the hotel has a really friendly feel. Its balconies look out over the river. The town is worth a wander, and there’s a Porsche museum. It’s also in a great spot, just a couple of Ks from the motorway.

We had a big room with a terrace looking over the garden and rivers, plus a lovely view of the nearby mountains. The garden leads down to the river. There’s a little playground for children, and parking is free and private. The hotel is charming and very close to the highway, with a friendly reception. The bar and restaurant were good and not expensive.

We were very happy with the pizza, especially the one where you choose five toppings. They were generous with them, and it definitely filled me up. A local had suggested the restaurant, and I’m glad I took her advice. The staff were really friendly too. The outdoor garden, just outside town near the river, adds to the experience. Best pizza in Gmünd!
