Sole-Felsen-Bad

I've been to plenty of thermal baths, but this one quickly became a favourite. There are lots of different saunas, and the sauna master was really good too. I'll definitely be back this year!

The room was a real retreat, exceptionally spacious compared with other hotels we've stayed at in Gmünd. The place feels welcoming and warm as soon as you enter, with a relaxed, lively atmosphere. It's perfectly located, and the young staff are very nice and straightforward. Our day here was blissful. Excited to return soon!

There's a lot to enjoy here: saunas in different styles and temperatures, experiences every half hour, a saltwater hot pool, and roomy areas to relax. The staff are always kind, and there's a restaurant in the FKK area. For me, this is the treat I look forward to most. One small downside is the painfully cold cobblestone path between the outdoor saunas. I also wish the hotel had flip-flops. The ones at reception cost a fair price, but they're very slippery and uncomfortable, and hurt my feet. 😊

The pool area has a good range of pools with enough room for crowds, and there are several saunas, both inside the hotel and among the trees overlooking the lake. I especially liked being able to swim in the lake, along with the indoor and outdoor saltwater pool at 32 degrees C. Gmund and the natural park's hiking trails, with their big boulders, are within walking distance, and you can hire an electric bike. There's free parking, the hotel is clean and well equipped, and all the staff were very friendly. The food was plentiful and delicious. I liked being able to go without masks or distancing, so life felt normal, although we had to show a negative covid test every day.
