We stopped at JoSchi Almgasthof for lunch while skiing, since all the top-of-the-mountain restaurants were full. We had no expectations, but found a warm, cozy restaurant, excellent food, and service that was both professional and friendly. It was my most surprising and gastronomically excellent experience on a ski trip. I’ll definitely eat here next time I ski at Hochkar!

The rooms were comfortable and good, though they aren’t heated during the summer season. Breakfast costs 5 EUR and is well worth it. There’s plenty of storage for sports equipment, and the staff are friendly.

We stayed in the Sportpension with breakfast, and had the all-you-can-eat dinner at Almgasthof. The food was very good, the staff kind, and we loved it! :)

Right on the slope, this is a nice, quick place to eat or take a break. They speak lots of languages. Big up there...

Clean and in a great spot on the slope. It could be better equipped, and the price is too high for what it is.
