JoSchi Sporthaus Hochkar

JoSchi Sport House is a family place with its own atmosphere, which I really liked, even though Hochkar doesn’t have nightlife. We spent a week there with family and friends. Johannes and the team do a great job, and the warm welcome, service, support, and atmosphere were all lovely. I’d absolutely return. The best thing about JoSchi Sport House is the delicious food, varied and prepared with care. Breakfast is generous, with excellent Java coffee. Around 4 p.m. there are cakes and coffee, and in the evening the menu includes an appetizer, soup, three mains to choose from, and dessert. Drinks cost extra. The restaurant is excellent, and big with nice decor. Rooms come in Comfort and Superior, both cozy and comfortable. Superior rooms are a little newer, with an open bathroom and hard floors. Comfort rooms have carpet and a traditional closed bathroom with a bathtub. They’re warm, clean, and cleaned daily. The hotel has its own ski rental, ski school, bar, restaurant, and sauna. Public parking is right in front, and the lifts are 50 meters away. Hochkar is a great ski resort, with six chairlifts and one T-bar. The trails are more red than blue, though kids can find runs too. They’re well prepared, and there are enough places to eat for the visitors. There’s a children’s learning zone 200 m below the hotel, with two belts, one free and a longer one that costs money. JoSchi also has ski and snowboard lessons and rentals near the kids’ area. Best to Rene, Benzo, Bianka, and the whole training team. Hochkar has six chairlifts and one T-bar lift, and the slopes are mostly red rather than blue. Still, children can find something to ski, and the trails are well prepared. The dining options are enough for visitors. For kids, there’s a learning area 200 m below the hotel with two belts, one free and a longer paid one. JoSchi also offers ski and snowboard lessons and rentals close to that area. Would I come back to Hochkar and JoSchi Sport House? YES! I recommend it.
