This was our third visit, and we still have plenty of places nearby to explore, so we’re planning to come back next year. The hotel works really well with a dog, too. We love the location, comfortable rooms, and wide choice at breakfast. There’s a restaurant on site, where we like having dinner. It’s a great base for hiking, cycling, swimming, and unwinding both body and mind.

The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff were kind and ready to help whenever needed. We stayed around Christmas in December 2022 for skiing, and the hotel’s several saunas were a great way to unwind afterward. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. The food was delicious, served in portions that suited one person. We had a lovely stay and can’t wait to return.

It was quiet and relaxing to hear the river at night, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are a little dated but have what you need, including bathroom amenities and plenty of hooks and storage for winter gear and toiletry bags. Breakfast and parking are free. We had lunch at the restaurant and liked it a lot. The sauna looked nice, though we couldn’t get it working. My only complaint is that smoke from the restaurant definitely drifts up to the hotel’s highest floors.

I run a travel agency and travel a lot. I first found them in 2008, and all my tourists have been treated very well. The hospitality is excellent, the breakfast and cooking are both very good, and they’re very flexible with vegan guests.
