Gasthof Abfalter

We used the box to manage a late check-in. Such a peaceful, lovely place, and the breakfast was delicious.

The setting is beautiful, but the staff's attitude needs a lot of work. There were eight of us. They dropped the menus on the table, then wouldn't bring us more cutlery than the number of dishes ordered, even though not everyone wanted food. I asked for three beers and only got two. Ten minutes later, when we asked about the third, the waiter said he had none left and would bring another after we'd finished eating. Nobody had shouted for beer. One of my friends went after the waiter to tell him he still hadn't brought it, after the cutlery had been dumped on the table because we'd asked for extra. He didn't apologize for his embarrassing behavior. If he works with customers, he needs to change how he treats them, or close the place.

We got to Gasthof Abfalter in the late afternoon without a booking and were welcomed warmly. The room was large, clean, and had everything we needed. It's set up for families, but it suited us as a couple looking for somewhere quiet too. The local food was excellent, and breakfast was more than we expected. We left Gasthof Abfalter feeling blessed. Top notch Austrian hospitality, and we'd strongly recommend it!

The local specialties were really tasty, and the desserts were delicious. Lovely Austrian food and great staff, absolutely worthy of five stars. Highly recommended!
