Leo was so kind and welcoming, and helped with anything we needed. The quiet surroundings and beautiful views made the stay feel like a dream. The location also worked really well, close to Hallstatt and plenty of lovely places in the Austrian countryside. We enjoyed every moment, and it was one of the best parts of our trip. If you're wondering where to stay in the countryside, I'd highly recommend this place.

We came in September and had hiking trails right outside, with Gosausee and Gosaukamm just a short drive away. Hallstatt made an easy afternoon trip, and Salzburg was about an hour by car. Adeg, a cafe, and restaurants were all within walking distance, while Ze Cafe was a short drive for breads and coffee. Inside, the modern home had everything we needed, and there was always a great view whether we were in or out. You notice the cedar smell as soon as you walk in, along with the Gosaukamm mountain range outside. Leo was fantastic and very helpful. It was such a treat to stay here, and we can't recommend Das Blockhaus Gosau highly enough.

Leo greeted us warmly when we arrived and stayed available throughout, making sure we had what we needed and helping with questions. He really made us feel at home. We spent almost a week here in October. The house sits above green fields on a small hill, with a lovely valley view, walking and biking trails close by, and the lake nearby too. It's a distinctive building made from imported wood, especially striking when lit at night. Indoors, everything felt new, luxurious, and spacious. The owners had clearly put thought into all the details, from the furniture to towels folded like flowers. The appliances were excellent, and the place was spotless. If you're looking for a place in this area, this may be one of the best properties around. We'll definitely come back.

Gosau is a beautiful little village, and the skiing is great too. We had an amazing stay in December 2023 with our family of five in this magical log house. There was loads of space inside and outside, plus a fireplace and sauna, and it felt private. The host, Leopald, showed us around and provided everything we needed. We’ll be back!

The house has so much charm, is fully equipped, and has a breathtaking view. Leo was the best host I've had, and I had to write a review. He was always available and helpful, from buying groceries to pointing out the best places to visit. He made our long weekend memorable. I'd definitely visit again. Thanks so much, Leo!
