Wellnesshotel ...liebes Rot-Flüh

Wellness is a misleading name for this place. The location and massage therapists were the only things I liked. The food portions were ridiculous, as though guests were being punished. I booked full pension, but breakfast was just basic bread and butter, and lunch was a joke. I ordered an extra steak for 40€ and found they were ripping you off: it was less than half a regular steak, smaller than a bar of soap. Dinner portions were just as bad. Even kids wouldn’t be satisfied. The reception seemed to exist only to hand out keys and take payment. They didn’t take my requests seriously. I asked for food to be brought to my room, but it never arrived. The room phone didn’t work, so I had to go to reception myself. The receptionist was arrogant and didn’t even apologize for the delay. The whole atmosphere felt cheap. What does “Wellness” in a 4 star hotel mean if guests aren’t fed properly or treated politely? I’d never recommend it. It felt like paying lavishly for my own misery. Edit: This is exactly the place I meant, and I can prove it. No need for evasion tactics. :D Check your database thoroughly.

We’ve been coming to this hotel for 10 years, first as a couple and now with the children. It’s been run by the same family for 3 or 4 generations, and we’ve always been satisfied with the service, restaurant, and spa. A special thanks to Cornelia, who has always served us with a smile and kindness. Thanks as well to her colleagues, the young woman of Hungarian origin and the young man from Croatia. We loved our three-night stay at ... liebes Rot Flueh hotel in July. The Haldensee view from the breakfast buffet is splendid, and the buffet is unparalleled. The service and effort to make guests feel special are just as impressive. The Huber family and team were lovely and very responsive, going above and beyond to give us a great experience. We really enjoyed the wellness spa and outdoor pool. Highly recommended.

The reception staff didn’t know basic things, like when breakfast ended or the bar closed. It felt very unprofessional. The food was really basic, and sometimes we thought it might be old. Our room was dirty when we arrived and smelled of cigarettes. The whole hotel felt unprofessional and not friendly at all. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.
