The airplane on the roof is a fun gimmick, and the SPA is fantastic, with lots of saunas, pools, and hot tubs. It’s textile free, so expect guests to be nude. If you’re comfortable with that, it’s a relaxing place. There’s also a small, simple pool and hot tub in the basement, which was nice and not crowded in the afternoon or evening. The rooms were clean and tidy. Food at the airplane restaurant wasn’t amazing, though the portions were huge. The hotel felt severely understaffed and poorly organized. Check-in was very slow, and the receptionist seemed confused and struggled to understand us or explain things. When we requested a business invoice, she said we couldn’t get one because we’d booked through Booking. The younger receptionist gave us one the next morning without any trouble. Since dinner wasn’t part of our booking, we wanted to pay separately, but the receptionist asked us to leave our credit cards at reception. You don’t need to do that, you can pay by card at the restaurant. Upstairs, the restaurant and bar area has what looks like a help desk, but nobody was there during the day, so we had to figure things out ourselves. The waiter was polite but didn’t speak English. Getting into the spa meant ringing a bell and waiting for staff to open it. There was no staff around the spa or at its help desk, so we had to ask other guests for information. Signs there weren’t in English or other languages, so German or luck with another guest would help. Although the SPA is advertised as free with every booking, you have to rent a bathrobe for 7.50€ and slippers for 4.50€, since the area is textile free and has no changing rooms. There were no sauna towels either, so we had to bring the two from our room. Parking is free for the first 3 hours, then you pay. The airplane and spa are enjoyable, but all the extra charges, lack of trained staff, and organization issues made staying overnight not worth it. I’d recommend visiting for the spa and airplane experience, but not sleeping over.

We spent the weekend here because the place looked and sounded almost too cool to be true. My kid loved it, and we were fascinated too. The kids’ area has fun things to do, but some activities cost extra, which was a shame.

Dogs are allowed, and the staff were considerate, helpful, and spoke several languages. I also appreciated being able to check in late, after reception closed at 21:00. The roof airplane is an exciting attraction, and the rooms were spacious and clean with nice balconies. Breakfast was plentiful and thoughtfully put together, so you won’t go hungry. I recommend Hotel to anyone visiting Graz.

The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the location good. The pool and wellness area looked clean and nice too. We didn’t get a chance to visit the plane restaurant, unfortunately, though it looked cool. There were serious issues with the arrival. A whole wing of our floor was under construction and wasn’t safely blocked off, so anyone could wander in and get hurt. We arrived late at night with no one at the desk, but I liked being able to collect a key card from the box without checking in. The card wouldn’t open our room, though, and nobody was there to help. I found the emergency number and called. A man answered, with children audible in the background, and said he’d come soon. We’d woken him around 3 am, so we waited. When he arrived, he showed us that the card only works when held in one exact position against the lock. We hadn’t known that, since at other hotels the card works in any position. Parking near the hotel costs extra and isn’t cheap. I’d recommend clearer instructions in English and an upgrade to the touch locks and cards.
