Chalet Stolz

We felt at home in this chalet, which has plenty of character and is furnished with real care. The hostess was kind and looked after everything we needed, and we'd happily return. We also barely noticed the street noise mentioned in another review. The rooms were well furnished, the beds comfortable, and feather pillows and duvets were available on request, which mattered a lot to us. We appreciated that pets weren't allowed because it meant less worry about hygiene. There was a lovely fireplace too, as well as a large wellness spa upstairs on the top floor.

We spent a week in this cozy chalet and are sure to come back. The materials are high quality, and the place has a lot of charm. Many thanks to the Stolzlechner family!

The design is mostly appealing, though some extras, like the grill, felt unnecessary. But a nice look doesn't make this a practical chalet for families. It's a very new house advertised as a “chalet” near the moargut children's hotel, about 400 meters away. In my opinion, the location makes it unsuitable: it's right beside a busy country road, just past a blind and dangerous bend. Letting children walk freely to the resort seems unthinkable, and going back and forth whenever you need something is a real effort. We slept very little and badly, even with the windows shut, because of the considerable road noise. The curtains are translucent and barely block any light, so when the sun comes up at 5 a.m., the master bedroom is bright as day. None of this was mentioned beforehand. The sockets in that bedroom also switch off after a while, so charging phones there means you may find them uncharged in the morning. The beds felt too small for what we paid, and the mattresses and bedding were poor quality. On arrival, there was no walk-through of the property. We got the key at reception and verbal directions, while the cleaning service seemed mainly eager to leave quickly. That's completely unacceptable for a five-star hotel at this price.

Okay.
