The biggest letdown was the WiFi. It was unreliable, so if internet access matters to you, you may want to stay somewhere else. The bed was okay, though a few extra pillows would've helped. The property itself is spotless, well equipped, and has great views. It's convenient for Salzburg, although downtown is about 40 minutes away. The bus stop is right outside the door, seriously, and there's a grocery store about a 15-minute walk away. Better WiFi would've earned this a 10. Such a shame.

For budget travelers like us, it felt a little expensive. The place suits a short stay, especially if you have your own car or want to be in a small village with only two or three shops and restaurants. Rooms are tidy and clean, and there's a small, cozy kitchen. Public transport runs about once an hour during the day and more often in the early morning.

The bus takes 40 minutes to reach the city station, so it's a long way from town. There's no air conditioning in the rooms. Everything else was fine, though it was expensive.

Our host was so friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff were fabulous. My family came from Australia, seven adults and three children under six, and we stayed at the Kaiser Karl for 14 nights over Christmas. We had the best time, and we'd recommend it to families. Regards, Maree Wanke.

The owner is a lovely, helpful woman, and the location works really well for seeing Salzburg and the surrounding area. It's quiet and very nicely designed. An amazing place, highly recommended.
