Romantikferienhaus am Brändle

Apartment 5 has a lovely view of Lake Hallersee, and its south-facing living room gets plenty of sunshine. The room is comfortable, with a roomy dining area and a cosy sofa lounge. The kitchen has everything, including a small dishwasher, four-burner induction cooktop, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds and good mattresses. The bathroom is small but works well. The building’s Wi-Fi is fast enough for Netflix or Videoland streaming. You can book two hours of private use of the ground-floor wellness area for a fee. It has an infrared sauna, Finnish sauna, massage shower, and relaxation area. In low season, the apartment also includes free cable car use in Tannheim, Grän, and Nesselwängle from Monday to Thursday. The apartment complex is in a beautiful setting, and the apartments are tidy, spacious, well furnished, and comfortable. There isn’t much to do right around the building, but the lake is an easy walk away and there’s a cafe down the road. For restaurants and groceries, you’ll need to go to Haldensee or Tannheim. The Tannheimer Tal has plenty to do, from hiking to winter skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and tobogganing. Trails to Nesselwängle and the Adlerhorst mountain hut start right behind the apartment. Germany is close as well, and Füssen and its castles, including Neuschwanstein Castle, are about a half-hour drive away.

Walter Schatz is a warm and welcoming host, and families should feel especially at home here. The accommodation is fantastic and has everything we could want. It’s centrally located, with everything easy to reach by bus. Once you arrive, you won’t be in a hurry to leave.

The hosts are incredibly kind and always happy to help. Their attention to detail shows throughout this spacious, spotless holiday home, which has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The mountains, the air, and the surroundings are breathtaking. We’ve stayed here three times with our two children and friends, and we’ll definitely return.

The nine of us, the “hiking girls,” enjoyed another few days at Romantik Ferienhaus am Brändle this year. The lake and mountain views were the finishing touch to a wonderful stay, and the location is ideal for hiking. Inside, the house is impeccably clean, thoughtfully furnished, and has everything you could need. We’ll definitely be back.
