Gasthof Hillepold

The view was amazing, the rooms were clean, and the host was really friendly. I’d definitely recommend it!

The other guests were friendly, including some who have returned for several years and use the hotel as a base for hikes and excursions. That seems like a good sign to me. I only booked one night by phone, but when I arrived they treated me courteously and even asked if I wanted to join the half-board dinner. The rooms all have lovely views of the mountains and river, and they’re very quiet. I slept well and set off refreshed after breakfast. Everything suited me perfectly, and I’d try to stay here again if I’m in the area.

Mr. Hillepold was a very friendly host. It’s a convenient base for getting to the ski area, and my room was clean and nicely furnished.

After a long day on my motorcycle, quite a few other places turned me away even though their parking lots were empty. Here, although the hotel and restaurant were busy, Herr Hillepold took time to look around the area for somewhere I could stay the night. I can’t comment on the rooms or food, but that was real hospitality. Thank you very much.
