The house sits in an excellent spot, though getting up its steep drive in winter calls for snow chains or winter tires. Inside, it’s clean, tidy, comfortable, and well heated, with satellite TV. Italian guests need to bring their own satellite TV card. Six people can sleep comfortably. Parking is handy. Foreign guests should also know electricity and tourist tax aren’t included in the listing and are paid separately. The hospitality was more than I expected in Austria.

The view from the windows is spectacular and has a romantic feel. It’s a spacious studio with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, enough even for a longer stay. The place is charming, and the hosts are warm and gracious.

The bus and train stops are easy to reach, and there’s free Wi-Fi. It’s a cozy house with a family feel if you want one. The furnishings are practical, though not the newest, and everything was very clean.
