Finally found a nice place that lets me bring my dogs! The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. They also speak English, French, and Italian, and the food was really good, interesting, and locally sourced.

We felt really comfortable here and were more than satisfied. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The local food was delicious, and you can set off hiking right from the hotel. A nearby Speckfest (Bacon Festival) is worth a visit too. We loved the music, the people, and the food.

There’s a lovely lawn around the hotel, with a pool, orchard, and hammocks, and we enjoyed winding down on the beautiful terrace after dessert. The restaurant is excellent, using plenty of local produce and vegetables and herbs from its own garden. The daily menu is superb, with your choice of starter and main course and lots of vegetarian options. The hotel itself is beautifully located, the welcome was friendly, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed.

The next morning we had a generous organic breakfast buffet, after a three-course dinner with an all-you-can-eat salad buffet and a choice of two soups. There’s a private pool too. Our modern room had a beautiful mountain view from the balcony, and the owner was very friendly. Arrival and check-in were simple, and it’s clearly a well-run family business. I first asked about a voucher promotion and didn’t get a reply, but after following up I received confirmation right away. It’s a wonderful spot in Carinthia, and I’d love to return.
