Getting to the cable car takes only a few minutes, the ski bus stops right outside, and there are plenty of parking spaces. The hotel is an older building that's been partly renovated. Our room on the second floor was clean and kept tidy, and the people working there were friendly. Sleep was the big problem. The window had no insulation, so it felt as though it wasn't there at all and we could hear practically everything. It was impossible to get proper rest. One side of the bed was badly damaged, and I hit my head on a strange strip above the headboard about ten times during the week. Breakfast was excellent, with nothing to fault except the coffee, which was undrinkable black. Dinner was disappointing. Potatoes appeared in nearly every possible form, and only once did we get a dumpling that wasn't potato-based. The meat was often undercooked, the soups especially let us down, and the deer goulash had lots of tough meat. The chef didn't seem to be having his best spell.

The ski pass arrangement was superb. The receptionist asked at check-in whether we needed passes, and they were waiting for us at our dinner table just 30 minutes later. We had a very nice winter holiday here. The hotel was clean and charming, made up of several beautifully refurbished older buildings with rooms and apartments. The main building's restaurant was lovely, while the ski and playrooms were in another building, which kept the main one quiet. The sauna was in a separate building nearby too. It's just an eight-minute drive to the Tröpolach cable car, and the ski bus stops right outside. The food was delicious and well prepared. Breakfast was the same each day, but there was enough choice for everyone. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, always smiling. We enjoyed our stay 100%!

We had half board, and the food was excellent, especially dinner. Breakfast could have had more variety, though there were still enough combinations to choose from. Rooms were clean and spacious, the staff very friendly, and the location was great. We'll definitely come back in summer too, since there's a golf course across the street. For skiing, the bus stop is just a few steps from the entrance, and the ride to Millennium Express takes five minutes. There's also a heated ski room where you can leave your gear after a day on the mountain. Perfect impression overall.

The food quality was outstanding, with mostly local ingredients and meals made with care. The cocktails were great too, including some made on the spot with house gin. We also appreciated the extras, such as free mountain bikes and access to the local lake beach at pressengersee. This family-run hotel sits in the heart of Gail Valley, with a lovely pool area for relaxing after hikes or cycling. Our room looked out over hills and mountains, a view we enjoyed every day. We were lucky enough to have breakfast in the mountains and a BBQ in the local woods as well. Within less than 30 minutes, we got to enjoy rivers, lakes, mountains, and even a canyon hike.
