Hotel Austria

The spa was fantastic and felt worthy of a five-star hotel. Breakfast was nice, and the evening buffets had good variety and a creative touch. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the owner and staff were friendly and efficient. We stayed at the back of the hotel, so although the road out front can be busy, we had no noise complaints. There's free parking and a ski bus right outside. We had a nice experience during the first week of 2022, having booked through Kriski in Belgium. For a down-to-earth place with good value, we'd recommend it.

The ski bus stops right in front, and our room was clean and spacious. Food was decent with a good selection, and the sauna area was clean and nicer than I'd expect from a 3-star. For the price, it's good value overall. The downsides were older rooms and furniture, though that wasn't a dealbreaker, Wi-Fi that barely worked in our room, and breakfast starting a little late for skiers at 8am.

After a full day in the mountains, the quiet spa was a lovely place to unwind. The rooms are spacious and have that real Austrian winter sports feel. Food was okay, but don't expect too much, it's good fuel for skiing. Staff were generally nice and professional. Twice, guests partied in another room. One call to reception was enough for the hotel owner to take action straight away, thanks again. The disturbances weren't the hotel's fault, but they affected the stay. The hotel is also right beside a main road. I'd still recommend it and plan to return.

The rooms are a decent size, but the bathrooms in the older section are terrible. Food is often poor, at best, and there often isn't enough of it, especially after a hungry day skiing. Staff are unfriendly, and management is uncooperative and seems focused on squeezing out that last penny. They don't make you feel welcome or want to return, and it's no surprise there are so many bad reviews. Here's another. I'd give this no stars if the site allowed it.
