We booked for two weeks, but reaching the chalet turned into a frightening ordeal. The road was a steep, narrow, unpaved mountain track, which wasn’t mentioned at all. We were in a family SUV and couldn’t climb it; the car started sliding backwards. The owner and rental company came after we called, saw the car couldn’t make it, and said we’d need a 4x4 because our vehicle wasn’t suitable. This should have been made clear in the description. They said they would help arrange somewhere to stay that night, since we couldn’t reach the house, but then left us without shelter on a cold, rainy evening with an infant and small children. We searched for a hotel, but many receptions were already closed. Nobody checked whether we were okay or asked what had happened. It was incredibly inconsiderate.

We felt welcome the whole time, and it was clear the hosts really cared about each guest’s stay. They were attentive and exceptionally friendly. The chalet is furnished to a very high standard, with careful attention to detail, and the view is one we won’t forget. Already looking forward to coming back. Definitely five stars!

At 1740 meters above sea level, Alm Glück sits right in the middle of the ski slope, with a cozy, stylish interior that has a luxurious rustic feel. After skiing, the sauna is a great way to unwind, and the massage chairs help with tired muscles. A lovely spot to relax and take in the mountain atmosphere.

The chalet’s amenities are unique, and the hosts are so kind and polite. They seem genuinely pleased to look after you, and you get the sense each guest matters to them. The view is incredible and the service excellent. I’m already looking forward to another visit. Five stars!
