The location gives direct access to about halfway up a blue ski slope, and the views are lovely. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the spa downstairs is excellent, and the family running the place are wonderful. It's spotless and well maintained, with a locked room for ski equipment. It's also a working farm, with cow milking and similar activities for children. For the price, it's great value compared with even some less appealing places nearby. There were only three or four other groups staying while I was there. When it was quiet, the only hot breakfast choice was a boiled egg, alongside the full continental breakfast. The hotel is a long way up the hill, so without skis, or if you miss the 4.45 ski lift closure, the walk back up is long. The positives outweigh those drawbacks, and I'd stay again. I did wonder whether to write this in case it was full next time I wanted to stay, but the place deserved the review.
