The balcony had a lovely view, and the rooms were comfortable, though small. The shuttle to the Kogel gondola only runs early in the morning and late afternoon, but it's still better than walking. We were very disappointed that this isn't actually a ski-in ski-out property as advertised. The restaurant was underwhelming, and we ate better in town.

Our apartment was in house 3, so we had no noise issues. House 1 is close to the road, and walking from there to the pool and spa could be a nuisance. There are three houses in all. We didn't try the shared pool and sauna because our apartment had its own sauna and jacuzzi, though those shared facilities looked good. The two-bedroom apartment was spacious, welcoming, spotless, and furnished with what seemed like very good quality bedding and furniture. The full kitchen had everything from pans and plates to a cheese grater, and there was a coffee machine. Parking was easy, either underground or by reception. The staff were friendly throughout, offered glühwein at check-in, and explained the facilities in detail. They set up a baby bed, then noticed it hadn't been used and removed it. That was great attention from the team. The views and distance to the ski slopes were great, too. Breakfast was good, but some things weren't replenished. Someone asked about omelette or scrambled eggs on the first day only, and we had to chase staff on the other mornings. The only baby chair was very small and not much use. Still, this was a really good hotel and I could see myself returning. I recommend it.

We were very pleased with both the accommodation and the hotel's atmosphere, and we'd happily return. Everyone on staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Special thanks to the lovely Slovak lady at reception, who was exceptionally pleasant. The restaurant staff were always friendly and smiling as well. Thanks for such a relaxing, wonderful stay!

We stayed five days and felt it was excellent value for money. The hotel spans three buildings, which made an impressive first impression, and a charming receptionist gave us a warm welcome. Our room was adequate, with a compact but well-equipped kitchenette and a view of the ski slopes. The pool was heated, and there were three saunas. We often had these facilities to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet, though I can imagine they'd be busy at peak times. Indoor parking and heated ski lockers were handy, and the hotel's car lift to the nearby cable lift made ski trips easy. The village centre was also close by. Saalbach is a ten-minute drive away if you want to visit a bigger ski village. Breakfast was a good start to the day. The staff were attentive to our needs and feedback, which made the stay especially good. At breakfast, though, they could be a bit more relaxed and helpful. I'd recommend this as a comfortable, accommodating base for a ski holiday.
