Our group of 19 had an amazing week in this charming old wooden house, in such a dreamlike setting. A huge thank you to our wonderful host Maria, who spoiled us with cheese and Snaps ;) She takes such good care of her guests and really cares about their well-being. We highly recommend the place!

Three families fit in the cottage, and we had a relaxing week there. It’s really old, maybe more than a hundred years, so none of the walls or floors are even. That’s part of its charm. I recommend it.
The panoramic view from the cabin is fantastic, and with no light pollution the starry sky is breathtaking. The place is well equipped, with table tennis and more. The one downside is the noise: there are no ceilings between the rooms, just wooden floorboards, so even a whisper carries into the next room.
The owners are very friendly and always helpful with questions, and the farm often has a surprise for the little ones. The holiday home is in a wonderful spot, fully furnished, and has perfect panoramic views of the Hohe Salve and Wilder Kaiser mountains. There’s also a small pool for everyone to share.
The grandchildren could run and play freely in the enormous garden, with no car traffic. It has swings and soccer goals; at the neighboring holiday home there’s a seesaw, a trampoline, and an indoor play barn with foosball and ping-pong for bad weather. The house sits on a sunny plateau among meadows, with open views of the mountains, and the garden feels wonderfully freeing. We also made good use of the deck chairs, parasol, barbecue, and clothesline in the shed. The well-kept pool is at the farm, a short walk through the meadows, and all five of us had plenty of room to splash and swim. We rented the ground-floor apartment while the upstairs one was being renovated. Ours had two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double and a single, plus a living room with a sofa bed, TV, wood-burning stove, and more. The kitchen had an oven, ceramic cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and a cozy corner bench. There was a bathroom with a bathtub and sink, as well as a separate toilet with a sink. Some of the wooden furniture is older, but it’s in perfect condition. The apartment came with far more than we usually find in vacation rentals: towels, bed linens, kitchen towels, liquid soap, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, and much more. We especially appreciated the fly screens on almost all the windows, which keep out many unwanted guests in a rural setting :-) There’s practically no request that goes unfulfilled. We’re absolutely thrilled with the house, its surroundings, and the Misslinger family’s hospitality. Our heartfelt thanks again to Maria & Co. for making the holiday unforgettable!
