JUFA Hotel Laterns - Klangholzhus

The biggest issue was how understaffed the hotel felt. At busy breakfast, one employee was trying to handle everything, so many things ran out. I often stopped waiting at the bar because nobody came to serve me. The staff were pleasant, but clearly stressed, and that affected the atmosphere. The location is handy, only a short walk from the chair lift, and the modern family room was a good size. The small play area suited younger children. Breakfast and dinner were good value, and the sauna was welcome after skiing, though one sauna was out of order during our stay.

Good value for a ski stay, especially if you're traveling with family. The room was clean, breakfast fresh, and the mountain view was great. What more do you need?

The kids had a superb time in the playroom, and there were toys and books in the reception area too. Lots of fun things to do nearby. We booked half board through hotels.com without realizing it, so that was a nice surprise. Staffing seemed thin in summer, though I suppose that can be expected.

The room was cold and our mood was ruined. We arrived in rainy weather at 10 degrees, but the radiator didn't work and there was no air conditioning. The TV wouldn't work either, and listening to the radio wasn't much fun. When we asked at the desk, nobody helped; we only got excuses and were told they couldn't do anything. The location wasn't very good, and the parking was far away on an unpaved surface, so our shoes were dirty by the time we got there. I don't recommend this hotel at all.
