As of 8th Dec, this is a construction site, not a hotel. Beware! Customer service is basically nonexistent. There’s no WhatsApp or VOIP number, so if you don’t have a landline connection, good luck getting help when something goes wrong. Emails are hit or miss, sometimes quick, sometimes very slow, and the replies are canned messages with no real effort to help or solve anything. The place wasn’t properly cleaned either. Dust and stains everywhere. Maybe that’s why the decor is black.

There was no hot water on the second morning until about 12pm, which must have affected the whole complex, and the bathroom wasn’t very clean when we arrived. The owner addressed a number of these issues promptly. I noticed other problems too, but I’ll leave it there out of respect for the owner, as I think they are trying. The Booking.com filter says “24 hour Front Desk,” which is misleading. There’s no front desk, just two screens under inadequate shelter. One self-service screen was broken for several days, with a guest’s pin number still visible on the frozen screen. In theory, someone could use that pin at the working screen to see guest information such as the room number. The free washing machines weren’t cleaned regularly; one was very dirty around the filter and glass door. The laundry room also needs better lighting. Balcony views vary, and you might see a neighbour’s washing line instead of mountains. There can be a queue for the 3.30pm check-in, with little shelter if you or your luggage are out in rain or sun. The system won’t allow earlier check-in unless you’ve paid. Guests seemed to be calling customer support from the screen every day, and you can hear this from some rooms or balconies. The owner doesn’t use WhatsApp, so be prepared for international roaming.

One of the cheaper places to stay in Innsbruck, but there’s a price to pay for that. The rooms are DIY, and the heating in ours didn’t work even when we tried to fix it ourselves. The TV remote was dead, and there was nobody to sort it out. We paid 100 euro to sit in a cold room with a TV that didn’t work. Perfect.

Check-in was all digital and smooth, and the location had beautiful mountain views. The rooms were spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It made for a really enjoyable time in Innsbruck, with a great mix of comfort and convenience. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
