Way too expensive for what you get. My room opened straight to the outside, so it kept smelling of cigarette smoke, and there was a mouldy smell underneath that too. In the afternoon someone banged on my door saying they were there to "fix the door," even though it worked perfectly well. I was glad I wasn't traveling alone, that would've really scared me. The room didn't seem properly cleaned, and the shower drain was clogged from whoever stayed before me. The water was around my feet before I could even finish a three-minute shower. Disgusting.

The room was very large and the location was good. Parking for just one night cost £15, though, which felt pricey.

The rooms aren't especially large, but they suited us well. Everything felt clean, warm and pleasant, the breakfast buffet was good, and we were happy with the staff too. Thanks.

We stopped at the boardinghouse on our way to Italy. The rooms were clean and very spacious, ours even had two floors, but the furnishings and details were very basic. What bothered us most was the strong cigarette smell in the room. It's not a fancy place, and the price felt too high for the quality. If you're arriving late, remember to ask about late check-in.
