Boutique Hotel Zach

The reception staff were amazing and very helpful, and the breakfast was really good with friendly waiting staff. Our room was spacious and very clean. It’s a fabulous boutique Hotel in a great spot, central to everything in Innsbruck. I’d highly recommend it for a city break.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location made getting around easy, with the train station about a five-minute walk away, the Gilded Roof and other Innsbruck attractions roughly ten minutes on foot, and bus stops nearby for trips up either side of the mountains. Our booked room was upgraded to a larger one on the 3rd floor. It looked brand new, had everything we needed, and stayed warm and cozy even with below-zero temperatures outside. The floor was heated, and the hotel was so quiet that we rested really well. Breakfast came in a lovely room overlooking the street, with lots of sweet and savory choices. The tea selection was impressive. Staff were kind and helpful too, with good restaurant suggestions and information about our public transport tourist pass.

Our family room for four was comfortable and nicely appointed. We were on the first floor, so there was no Alps view, but it was surprisingly quiet. The reception and breakfast room staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and obliging. We had a lovely stay in central Innsbruck and would highly recommend the hotel.

The room stayed very cold during our five nights, and cold air came in through the windows. With no refrigerator, we had to put our baby food by a window to keep it cool, which wasn't ideal while traveling with our one-year-old twins. Street noise at night, including people shouting, also interrupted the comfort we had hoped for. We booked partly because the hotel presents itself as family-friendly. At breakfast, though, we felt uncomfortable with the way our toddlers' normal eating behavior was addressed. We understand shared spaces need to be kept pleasant, but the way it was handled made us feel judged instead of supported. We made a real effort to avoid inconveniencing anyone and to be respectful guests. We travel often as a family and haven't run into these concerns elsewhere. It's disappointing that this stay didn't match the family-oriented atmosphere we expected.
