We had a spacious, clean quad room that never felt cramped. Breakfast was abundant and good, and the restaurant served a good range of food at decent prices with large portions. You won't leave hungry. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the owner's daughter at reception, as we later learned. She explained the attractions, Welcome Card, bus routes, and more. Her enthusiasm, friendliness, and excellent English are real assets to this historic hotel. It's an easy walk of up to 25 minutes to the old city centre, or a quick bus ride, free with the Welcome Card. Bus stops are right behind the hotel. The two things that bothered us were the pillows, which don't hold their shape or support your head, and the bathroom's sliding frosted-glass door. There's a sizable gap between the closed door and wall, so there's no privacy. We wedged a blanket into the end of the rail to cover it. Still, we had a great stay at the Dollinger. Totally recommended.

The Welcome Card was quite useful since we could use public transport without paying. The place was pretty cool, and the rooms were fairly comfortable. The pillows felt really strange and made it hard to sleep. It also gets quite warm inside during winter because of the central heating, and I wish we could control the temperature more.

Being so close to central Innsbruck was handy, and the parking was limited, but at least there was some. The room was far too warm even in winter, and with no AC I had to open the window and put up with traffic noise. The pillows were awful. Over two nights I barely got proper rest: one was too hot, and the next was loud from both the street and people having long conversations in the hall at 4am, in German.

The receptionist was so welcoming she made me feel at home. The hotel is right by the river, near the city centre, and the attractions are close by. Rooms are nice, and the Welcome Card was a nice extra. Breakfast was excellent, though the selection was limited. There’s free parking behind the hotel too.
