Hotel Goldener Adler, BW Signature Collection

We were there for three nights and four days, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms felt spacious compared with a typical EU option, and the bar will provide still or sparkling water each day if you ask. The hotel sits at the edge of the old town, in a pedestrian area but only a block from the main driving street. The amenities were great, and dinner at the hotel restaurant on our last night was delicious, with exceptional service. I’m looking forward to coming back.

I came to Innsbruck for a few days because I had a job interview. My luggage didn’t make it onto the plane, so I had no dress clothes, just sweats. I’d planned to buy something that evening, but the flight was due in after the shops closed. I called reception to ask if they could help me get an outfit for the next day, and they did. Vivien, one of the receptionists, went out and got clothes for me. She went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for the effort. The people here are kind, sympathetic, and top notch. I got the job after the interview! Vivien played a critical role in that, since my career prospects were hanging in the balance and she came through. 100 stars out of 5.

The room was simple but had a kettle and the basics, and we paid extra for breakfast, which was just right. The hotel is beautifully decorated and preserved, in a lovely spot right in the middle of everything. Restaurants, shops, and nightlife are all walkable. Parking took some effort, but we found a place about five minutes away. Highly recommend.

Our room was small, but easily fit two people, two large bags, and two carry-ons. We loved our stay, especially the hospitality and location. We’ll stay here again when we come back.
