Montagu Hostel

The staff are the best part of Montagu Hostel. Reception, housekeeping, the whole team were friendly, helpful, relaxed, and brought great energy. They made me feel at home. The common areas are beautiful too, with plants, lovely lighting, and a cosy, social atmosphere. The location is perfect, right beside the city centre, so it's easy to walk everywhere, but the place still feels relaxed. The rooms and beds are really well designed, with lots of privacy, comfortable spaces, and big lockers. There's a free storage room as well. Everything was thoroughly cleaned every day, and you could see the care they put into the place. There's a bar downstairs, so weekends can be a bit loud. Still, it's the heart of the hostel, where people meet, dance, chat, and have fun with travellers from everywhere. The prices can seem a little high at first, but they're similar to other hostels and hotels in the area and reflect the city. For the location, atmosphere, design, and quality of the stay, I thought it was worth it. One of the best hostel experiences I've had, and I'd absolutely recommend staying here!

I was travelling alone and felt really safe here. It was super clean and the people were kind. The heating was the best I've ever had in a hostel. And they have curl diffusers in the bathroom, which is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much.

I've stayed here twice now and can only recommend it. The bar is open in the evenings, a great place to meet people and share experiences. To me, it's a great way to make friends.

I got really sick while I was here. A staff member brought tea and fresh fruit right to my bed. I love her so much and am very grateful for the help. Her name was Lisa.
