The Penz Hotel

The Penz team were fantastic, always helpful, and breakfast was really good. The hotel is lovely, well located, and pet friendly. My one complaint is the housekeeping: our room never seemed to be cleaned properly, and the work looked rushed.

Breakfast had loads to choose from, including pastries, cold meats, and fresh, unusual fruits. The staff were welcoming and seemed happy to be there. Penz made our stay a pleasure. Shame we only had two nights.

We left a few small personal things behind, but after I emailed the hotel they found them and arranged to send them back. Thank you so much, that was really kind. We’ll definitely stay here again. The hotel was fantastic all around: friendly staff, nice rooms, secure parking, and a rooftop bar with great views. The breakfast selection was the biggest I’ve ever seen.

We slept well in room 217, which overlooked the park. There was some light road noise, but it didn’t disturb us. The beds were comfortable, the room a good size, and the bathroom had nice amenities. After our first night we asked for two extra pillows, and housekeeping brought them promptly. Breakfast on the fifth floor was a highlight, with lots of choices and flavors, and you could request specials. We’d included it in our booking and thought it was worth it. The serving staff were lovely, especially Tatiana, who was attentive and delightful. From arrival, the welcome felt genuine. Marvin checked us in, and Lukas answered several questions during our stay; other staff were helpful too. They gave us a map of the main city sights, all within walking distance, and shops for personal items were close by.
