Apart Al Aua

We’d stayed at the hotel five times before, so we felt everyone deserved a chance and raised the condition of the apartment with them. It was supposedly cleaned, but nothing seemed to change, and it still wasn’t all clean. After we spoke to reception again, they just seemed to want us gone quickly and didn’t fix the cleanliness problem. What a shame. What’s happened to this place? These days they seem to prefer a different clientele. Thank you very much. We booked the supposedly “new” Al aua apartment offered by the hotel, and it was incredibly bad. The “deluxe” apartment was neither new nor renovated. The furniture looked like a collection of discarded pieces with no taste, and the cleanliness was incomprehensible. We found dirty rooms, with unwashed glasses and dishes left in the cupboard. There was no bottle opener or hand broom or vacuum cleaner, and there were five large trash cans in the kitchen. All this for 315 euros a night.

The apartments are nicely and practically furnished, and the location is central. The Wi-Fi, though, is awful, barely good enough to write a review. Speeds can fall below 0.2 Mbps, and using demanding sites like newspapers or Facebook takes a lot of patience. Streaming isn’t possible.

A must-see. If you haven’t been, you haven’t really been to Ischgl.
