Hotel Piz Buin

Everything you need is close by, including the ski stations within walking distance, and the surroundings are a plus. Piz Buin superior is an amazing place for a ski holiday in Ischgl. The rooms are comfortable, the spa is wonderful and relaxing, and the service and restaurant are excellent. Breakfast was good, and the dinner dishes were very tasty. Comfort is a must here, and every detail is in exquisite condition. I really can’t complain about anything from A to Z. A place to return to every winter season, highly recommended.

The downsides were the spa: two facilities were out of order, it only opens at 15:30, too late for anyone who hasn’t skied all day, and the pool isn’t warmed. The ski room felt very claustrophobic and couldn’t hold more than four people at once. The lockers were tiny and could barely fit two snowboards. On the plus side, the A2 gondola is a two-minute walk away, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice, with a great shower. There was a varied selection of food each night, an awesome salad bar, and a great afternoon snack.

The staff were friendly and the location is great, and I enjoyed the food, though it wasn't modern cuisine. What bothered me was the room temperature. It was far too hot, and staff said they couldn't do anything about it even though other guests had complained too. Drinks all cost extra, surprisingly even tap water and hot water, and there was no kettle in the room. Also ask about the fees for the recently installed car charging station, since the staff gave confusing information.

The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and the service was good. But the room was heated and there was no way to cool it except opening a window. Parties in the same hotel building went on until the middle of the night, so sleeping was impossible. I'm writing this at 2 am.
