Hotel & Residenz Glöckner

We only ate here, and both the food and service were wonderful. I ordered the venison rare, and it came out perfectly. It may be the best venison I’ve ever had, and it tasted as fancy as it looked. The desserts were wonderfully unusual, too. We got by just fine speaking English.

Frans, his wife, and the whole team at Glocknerin Hotel were phenomenal. I’ve stayed in hotels in almost as many places as the over 180 cities I’ve traveled to, and I’ve never had such a happy hotel experience. The staff were the nicest and most helpful I’ve ever met. The spa was gorgeous, with more than seven kinds of saunas. After a long day skiing, the heated pool and waterslide were a lot of fun to relax by. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were quiet, warm, well insulated, and relaxing. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the room had every dish you could need for a full meal. Everything worked perfectly and looked great. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and worth the money. I’ll definitely be back!

The location is good, and the service is friendly and professional. The restaurant maintains good standards for both food quality and presentation.
