Sportland Inn

We stayed here last August. The hotel was just as described, but the beautiful surroundings were so peaceful. What we enjoyed most was the family staff, who were very friendly and open. We also went white water rafting, and it was really fun and well organized.

The staff and the peaceful setting are what earned this place five stars from me. The receptionist was especially accommodating, and the young man at the bar around noon shared useful tips on places to visit. Everyone made us feel welcome. It’s a lovely spot to unwind in nature. BILLA and SPAR are about a 10-minute walk away for essentials, and rafting is an option if you want something active. The hotel is a little dated, the rooms aren’t fancy, and there’s no fridge in the room. Those details are clearly listed on the booking site, so it’s good to know them before booking.

The staff were lovely and kind. The food also improved a lot while we were there, and the kids getting pancakes for breakfast was brilliant, thank you! The hotel itself is very old, though, and the bed was far too hard. We could hear every neighbor, and the shower’s water pressure and temperature kept changing. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was very basic. The mashed potatoes seemed to be made from powder and were pretty disgusting. At this price, it wasn’t worth it.

The landscape is breathtaking, and there are great hikes nearby as well as fun things to do like rafting. The hotel is nice, the staff are friendly and relaxed, and the price is very affordable. You’ll probably spend most of your time outside anyway :)
