Dinner was a highlight: four courses, including a salad bar with lots of choices, and the food was great to look at as well as to eat. The menu changed each day, and the chef was creative and very talented. Breakfast was generous too. The waiters were friendly and professional, and service was quick and smooth. You can tell the owners care about the details and have prepared everyone well to provide high-class service. The rooms were warm, clean, and nicely furnished. There’s a modern elevator, parking, and a small spa with saunas, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, and more. There’s also a ski locker in the same building as the gondola, about a four-minute walk away, which was handy for skiing at Hochzillertal or Hochfügen. The owner yelled at customers, which made for an extremely bad experience. The customer had already apologized for doing something wrong, and it wasn’t on purpose because they couldn’t do otherwise. There are better ways to speak to someone in that situation. I’d never recommend the place after being treated so poorly by the owner. At least the staff were exceptional.

We’ve been here twice for snowboard holidays, and I’m already looking forward to booking the next one. The gondola station is less than a five-minute walk away, and the Austrian wine selection is great. Meals were incredible: breakfast and a choice of three main courses at dinner, plus soup, salad, and dessert, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with TVs and lovely ensuite bathrooms. It can get a little noisy if your room is over the outdoor seating area, but shutting the windows fixes that.

Lovely food with a thoughtful herb theme, and great service. Chef Michael works magic in the kitchen, Elke keeps everything running, and Gabor at the bar seems like he could’ve been a comedian in another life.
