The location is peaceful, which may not suit anyone looking for nightlife. Kappl centre is walkable, though the steep, narrow roads can be awkward after drinks or during heavy snow. By car, Ischgl is about 10 minutes away, with a large car park for €5. We used the apartment as a winter ski base and found the price very good for what was included. For the best rate, contact the owner directly by phone or email rather than booking through a site. We stayed in apartment 3, if I remember correctly. It had two bedrooms with room for five, plus a living room, bathroom, separate toilet and kitchen. Everything worked, felt comfortable and was reasonably new. The kitchen had a decent set of equipment. There’s a ski room with a boot heater, though it doesn’t dry boots as well as an airflow dryer, so ours were a little damp after a week. If you ski in Ischgl every day, leaving your skis at the top station costs €1 per kit per night; lockers for all your gear cost more. The owner was kind, helpful and attentive. There’s bread delivery from a local bakery, though it’s a bit pricey. We picked up groceries every two or three days from a shop on the way back from Ischgl, which worked for us. One thing to factor in: the apartment can’t provide the Ischgl guest card, which is issued only by places in Ischgl, but the lower price should make up for that.

We booked the ground-floor Alp Chalet apartment with Thomas Huber and it was spacious and luxurious. We’d come intending to ski in Ischgl, but Thomas took time on arrival to explain the area and suggest where to ski. His advice sent us to Kappl and See for three days, and those turned out to be the best days of the holiday: great pistes and fewer people. Ischgl has a lot of terrain, but it was crowded and the pistes were icier.
Thomas was easy to reach and really helpful, and the location was a big plus. The apartment had plenty of room and was equipped well. There were five of us and it worked perfectly. We’d happily return to Alp Chalet.
The apartment was modern and properly equipped, and we found the location excellent. The host made us feel welcome. I’d recommend it for a family stay, or other kinds of trips too.
We felt right at home at ALP CHALET. The apartment is a high standard, and Mr Thomas made our winter week feel more than perfect. It’s well placed between the Kappl and Ischgl ski areas, and the local bakery can deliver delicious bread every morning. We’d definitely recommend it.
